 Dear Participants to the 4th International Congress on Black Sea Antiquities, We look forward to welcoming you in Istanbul for the 4th International Congress on Black Sea Antiquities in September 14-18, 2009. We have made block reservations in various hotels, ranging from 5 Star Deluxe to simple 3 Star facilities. The rates we have negotiated are particular for this event and the rates are protected for you. In other words the normal Rack Rates of these hotels are at least 45% higher if you tried to book them directly yourself. However, PLEASE NOTE that the Congress will be taking place during the last 5 days of the Moslem Holy Month of Ramadan and generally Istanbul gets a lot of visitors from different parts of Turkey. In addition to that there are also 4 very major conferences in Istanbul when the total room requirements run into the thousands. As such we would kindly ask you to make your reservations AS SOON AS POSSIBLE with Tachda Tours to make sure that you get a booking to your liking. When you fill in the Reservation & Payment Form please indicate on the last line that in case we can not place you in your first choice of hotel, then Tachda Tours shall have the right to book you in a similar category hotel. Immediately after the month of Ramadan, the religious holiday of Eid El Fitr or Seker Bayram in Turkish starts. This coincides with the Post-Congress tours when hotel rooms again are very much in demand, especially in holiday and tourism regions such as Cappadocia, Antalya, Kusadasi etc. So again your earliest decision regarding the Post-Congress tours will be much appreciated. Both in the case of the hotels and the tours we have promised the hotels and other suppliers that we will be able to confirm 90 % of the requests by the end of JUNE. The Congress Registration Desk will be operational starting on September 14th from 08.oo in the morning. Thus early arrival for the registration will help us all.
